Metal Counter Structure for ABC Coffee, Saint Petersburg

Function: design of the central bar zone for a new ABC Coffee location
To design a decorative vertical metal structure enclosing an existing concrete column in the center of the bar.
The structure had to provide a seamless monolithic appearance with a circular cut-out in the center.
The structure was to appear as a single solid volume, fully integrated into the bar’s interior.

Adjustable plywood desk without fasteners, designed for sitting and standing work positions

Transforming Table Made of Plywood (18 mm)

An original design project developed to demonstrate functional capabilities and refine engineering solutions (idea inspired by a Pinterest reference).
The task was to design a table with an adjustable tabletop height (from sitting to standing position) and the possibility of expansion with additional modules and shelves. Key
requirement — full assembly without fasteners or screws, made entirely of plywood.

About Me

My name is Evgeny Kuzmenko.

I am a furniture design engineer with over 5 years of experience, specializing in custom and built-in furniture design.

I started with my own production workshop in 2017, and since 2019 I have been working fully independently, focusing on engineering and technical design.

Having worked both in manufacturing and as an independent designer, I understand the entire process — from concept to a ready-to-assemble product.

My expertise:

Parametric modeling (Shapr3D, Fusion 360)
Preparing models for CNC and sheet-cutting production
Assembly control using technical drawings and 3D models

What sets me apart

Engineering precision and a deep understanding of real production processes. I design so that the product can be manufactured and assembled correctly on the first try.

Professional achievements

In 2024–2025, four consecutive quarters, I was among the top 10 members of the Shapr Gamma community, testing new features before release. More than five of my proposals were implemented into the final product functionality.

Features Implemented in Shapr3D After My Suggestions

Implementation: Section View Interference Highlights in Shapr3D. The development team added automatic highlighting of overlapping bodies during section views, improving error detection before manufacturing

Suggestion: Automatic Intersection Check

Evgeny Kuzmenko suggested an improvement to the “intersection” function in Shapr3D — to automatically highlight intersecting bodies without manual selection. This would help users detect modeling mistakes faster and ensure error-free assemblies.

Update: Section View Interference Highlights

The new Shapr3D update automatically highlights overlapping bodies in Section View, based on Evgeny Kuzmenko’s proposal. It makes error detection easier during design reviews and reduces the risk of costly mistakes before manufacturing.
